improvisation
in 2009, together with the artist Amelia Prazak, we’ve created a performance based on Keith Jarre
t’s improvisation piece “The Koln concert”, an incredible piano impro. It is worth to hear to it, leave it playing around your room and just feel the music. It is like a ‘life soundtrack’. During our research we looked for different kinds of improvisation, since builders on a city centre, a radio, masks as a way of hiding your own self, SHADOWS, and contact improvisation dance, a technique that allows the dancer to create based on each others movements.
Also We developed our own form of improvisation, guiding 2 dancers in a black space, and EXPLORING on different ways of improvisation, once we wanted to develop a dance performance.

textures
a video that brings a lot of inspiration. The singer is incredible sexy, the music is beautiful and the textures and compositions of the images are exactly what I like and love to do. It represents many sides of myself…. enjoy!
costume design
this is a work that I’ve done in 2006, was my first job as a Costume designer, I worked with Katia Costa during 4 moths creating, producing and actually making these costumes for a tap perfomance of 100 kids. The theme was an Alien world called planet “ALPHA” and each group of children would be a ‘being’ from this other planet.

performing
Last Friday I shot the third video for my video installation “SARAY”. The third and main video consists on a performance by me, sewing photographs of my grandmother and great grand-mother. The location is an empty huge factory, representing the big short-term memory space in our brains which can be filled with any new idea of memory or interpretation of what have happened and of our brain archives in our long-term memory.
I’ve rented a Macro lens and Azul Serra documented the performance using the Canon 5D, directed by me.
Was a very productive Friday, with great results and we were able to stay with the lens for the weekend (for free) experimenting and shooting anything basically. The result of this experiments became a short video called “Fluidity that I’ll post soon.

killing scene
here it is a scene from the “Macbeth” performance. It is the scene that Lady Macbeth feels guilty for all the killings that have happened and blames herself for being directly responsible for the murders, influencing her husband to do it and order it.
tv’s and dvd’s
it has been difficult to produce the “props” for my exhibition; when I had the idea to have lots of different TV’s I didn’t realized how tricky would be to have it ready. Including the fact that I am a designer and not really into technology (I pretend I know about it but when it comes to cables, connections, and other issues like that my knowledge goes to zero….) the search gets harder and harder.
The first obstacle was to find out how to have 7 videos on 7 different TV’s at the same time, if I needed 7 DVD’s or If I could do it with one source (like one computer links and connected with the TV’s); after research on internet and with friends and asking questions to yahoo, Google and Aardvark (www.vark.com) – a website that really answers your questions! – I decided to use 7 DVD’s which seems easier but when it comes to the fact that I don’t have a car it gets harder.
In my house I don’t even have a DVD or neither a TV!! So I really have to start from nothing…. I’ve tried free-cycle and also eBay, but still it doesn’t help a lot considering that I don’t have a car to pick it up. I found 2 TV’s and one DVD on eBay that could be sent by post, but when they arrived in my house and I’ve tried to use it, it DOESN’T work!!! 😦
Now I’ve both one more DVD on eBay and 2 more TV’s, it is a new try but this time I will have to pick it up by foot, around London…. I am considering the possibilities of start calling friends and asking their TV’s…
sarajevo
For the video installation “SARAY” that I am working on and will have the exhibition in may, I went to Sarajevo for a week for a site research based on my family history, as my grandmother and great grandmother were from there.
I had the pleasure to have the company of the cinematography Azul Serra who was there to register the project; as well my mother and my sister Sula were there to join the “returning to the origin” kind of trip.
